Individual EMDR Consultation: Personalized Support for Your EMDR Practice

When You Need Focused, One-on-One Guidance

Sometimes you need more than a group setting can provide.

Maybe you're working with a particularly complex case and need undivided attention to think through your approach. Perhaps you're preparing for EMDRIA Certification and want structured support tailored to your specific learning goals. Or you might simply prefer the privacy and depth that one-on-one consultation offers.

Individual EMDR consultation provides the personalized attention and focused guidance you need to develop confidence and competence as an EMDR clinician.

Why Choose Individual EMDR Consultation?

Undivided Attention on Your Cases

Your session is entirely dedicated to your questions, your clients, and your learning goals. We can spend our time diving deep into a single complex case, or we can address multiple questions — whatever you need most.

Completely Customized to Your Needs

We tailor each session to exactly where you are in your EMDR journey. Whether you need help with basic protocol implementation, advanced applications, or anything in between, we focus on what matters most to you.

Flexible Scheduling

Unlike group consultation with set weekly times, individual sessions offer more scheduling flexibility to find times that work for you. This works especially well for clinicians with unpredictable schedules or those in time zones that don't align well with group times.

Deeper Exploration

With our time dedicated to your needs, we can thoroughly explore complex topics — whether that's integrating parts work with EMDR, understanding the nuances of case conceptualization, or developing advanced skills.

Making Complex Concepts Understandable

Some EMDR concepts take time to master. In individual consultation, we work through them together until they make complete sense.

Helping You Develop Deep Understanding

My goal is to help you understand EMDR beyond a series of steps or protocols, developing the conceptual foundation that allows you to navigate clinical challenges with flexibility and confidence.

Supporting Clinical Integration

I help you weave EMDR into what you already do well as a therapist, so you're using the protocol in a way that feels authentic and natural to your therapeutic style.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is individual consultation different from group consultation?

Individual consultation provides undivided attention to your specific cases and learning goals. It's more private, completely customized, and offers flexible scheduling. Group consultation provides collaborative learning from diverse cases at a more affordable rate with set weekly times.

Can I do both individual and group consultation?

Absolutely! Many clinicians use group consultation for regular ongoing support and add individual sessions when they need focused attention on specific cases or skill areas. This combination often provides the best of both worlds.

How many individual sessions will I need?

It depends on your goals. For certification, you need at least 10 hours of individual consultation (out of 20 total). Beyond that, some clinicians prefer individual consultation for all their ongoing support, while others use it periodically for complex cases or focused skill development.

Do I need to prepare anything for individual consultation sessions?

It's helpful to come with specific cases, questions, or topics you want to address. However, we can also use session time to help you identify what to focus on if you're unsure where to start.

Can individual consultation hours count toward certification?

Yes! Individual consultation hours count toward EMDRIA Certification requirements. In fact, at least 10 of your 20 required hours must be individual consultation.

I'm outside the United States. Can I still work with you?

Yes! I provide virtual individual consultation via Zoom to clinicians worldwide.
